Visit the Mount Horeb Area Historical Society Museum
The Mount Horeb Area Historical Society has invited DCAGS members to come and participate in a Group Guided 1-hour tour of their Museum in Mount Horeb (including their research room and archive storage). The staff has indicated they will be willing to answer any questions we have and after the tour our group can visit the public exhibits at your leisure.
The group tour will start at 10am at the Driftless Historium & Mount Horeb Area Historical Society building, located at 100 S 2nd St., Mount Horeb, Wisconsin.
The tour admission cost is: $7 per adult, $5 per Senior (ages 60+), vets/active duty military FREE. We suggest that members get to Mount Horeb by 9:45am, to meet Board members for check-in and name tags. We also want to go in as a group.Members are encouraged to pay on-line at our website: www.dcags.org “prior” to event. If you are more comfortable with paying that day, our Outreach Coordinator, Eleanor Brinsko and myself will be at a table outside the Museum for people to pay.
After the tour, members may wish to stay since the Mount Horeb Area Historical Society is offering a program from 2-3pm called “Pioneer Wisconsin: Voices of Early Settlers”.
The plan is for those DCAGS members interested in this July event to either carpool from Madison at the parking lot at 4505 Regent Street OR drive your own vehicle and meet Board Members at the location, prior to the actual tour.
I hope you can join us for this exciting opportunity.
Bob Rettammel, President DCAGS
