There They Are!: Finding your ancestor in Norwegian documents
It is wonderful collecting names and dates of our ancestors, but they were so much more than that. By learning how to find the records and data collections that they filled out as they lived their lives, it is easier to build the picture of the life of our ancestors in Norway. This lecture will guide the genealogist through understanding Norwegian bygdebøker, Norwegian church records, and Norwegian census records. The genealogist will also learn how to contact the kommune and the ancestral parish to gain additional information on their ancestor.
